Wire Mesh Doors

A ‘mesh’ basically means a barrier of interconnected wires made of metal, fibre and ductile material. It is just like a web or a net. A mesh can be in the form of a wire, metal, clothing, skin graft or fibreglass.

A wire mesh is used to shield against radio frequency radiation, to guard secure areas and produce park benches as well as waste baskets. If we talk about the size and permeability of different mesh size are used for different purposes. Some are used to strain pasta and vegetables while the others are used for landscaping and gardening applications.

If the wire mesh needs to be welded then concrete is poured over the laid down mesh. Because of the high tensile strength of concrete, once it sets, it will assist in the stabilization of the concrete.

The Wire Mesh Door Manufacturers often construct them this way. They are interwoven with the wooden planks and serve the purpose of both protection and ventilation. It is generally used in various types of kitchens and its breathability is often used for entertainment and custom built-in creations such that it is placed on to the shelf in such a manner that it will not get over-heated.

If an additional feature further needs to be added then a fabric needs to be kept under that wire mesh that further allows air ventilation through the framed opening without the visual access of what is kept behind the door. There are three different kinds of crimping methods that are used to create wire mesh. These are:

Single crimp – The wire is bent back and forth and woven into each crimp in each direction.

Double crimp – Being very similar to single crimp, the wires are hand woven into every third crimp forming the mesh.

Press crimp – The wires are machine pressed in alternating directions that forms a depression to hold the hand woven wires in place.

The wires which are generally used to form the mesh are round wire, square wire, flat wire and reeded wire. Generally, the square and rectangular patterns are used to form a wire mesh. The mesh can be coated for a better finish and long life. These four coatings are Satin steel  V2, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Stainless Steel.

The standard size for a wire mesh grill patterns is 20” × 48” available to be cut into customized shapes and sizes.
